Spring is in the air! The weather is FINALLY warming up and that means I can FINALLY start showing a little skin, without freezing. In New England, we are blessed with all four seasons and Spring has to be my favorite. With Spring in mind, the next couple of posts will be geared around outfit basics for this time of the year as well as outfit ideas and inspiration.

The lace up trend will undeniably be everywhere this spring. Whether you wear it in a dress or shirt style. This trend can get scandalous quickly, especially if you plan on wearing this trend to school. In general the lace up section of the dress or shirt is in a plunging v-neck. Keep in mind where you're planning on wearing your outfit when you're shopping to make sure the trend is appropriate.
For spring in New England, the weather is warmer than winter... but feels more like fall until May/June. Because of that I find that wearing a shorter dress with tall boots makes the perfect pair.
TIPS:
1.) For Spring, if you want to show a little more skin, balance is key! e.g. if you want to wear a shorter dress pair it with tall boots or if you plan on wearing a short skirt, try pairing it with long sleeves.
2.) If you're going to try the lace up trend be weary of the plunge of the neckline to make sure that you're outfit is appropriate for where you're going to wear it.
